The New Faces of Baseball

If you’re a casual fan of baseball, or maybe you’ve lost touch since the scandals and bad juju of the steroid era, I invite you to check out the All-Star Game tonight.

Major League Baseball is chock full of young talent with likeable personalities. This new crop is fun to watch. Names like Carlos Correa, Aaron Judge, Cody Bellinger, Kris Bryant, George Springer, Miguel Sano, Francisco Lindor, Mookie Betts, Paul Goldschmidt, Bryce Harper, Corey Seager, and so many more.  These names will carry our game for many years to come.

The future of baseball is here, now, removed from the Bonds and Arods of yesterday.

While I personally don’t care much about the game itself, what I like is that two teams of the best players in the world get to relax and have fun. You’ll see their personalities come out, with lots of smiles and laughter, whereas in regular games they are generally professional, stoic and focused.

If you’re looking to enjoy a light-hearted ballgame and reacquaint yourself with our national past time, I invite you to watch the midsummer classic tonight.

You can watch on Fox at 5pm.
